THE GCDF PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION …

The GCDF certification is an internationally recognized certification for professionals serving in a variety of occupations related to career development support and facilitation. To achieve the certification, a candidate must complete the 120 hour NCDA Career Development Facilitator curriculum taught under the direct supervision of a NCDA Career Development Facilitator Instructor.

BACKGROUND …¬†

The credential was originally referred to as the Career Development Facilitator certification. In establishing this prestigious credential, a number of different organizations worked together with the Center for Credentialing and Education, Inc. (CCE) to develop core requirements. Founding organizations included the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and the National Employment Counseling Association (NECA).

The National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP), which awards the Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) credential, has endorsed the GCDF credentialing requirements.

CREDENTIALING SOURCE …

Global Career Development Facilitator (CDF) certification is provided through the Center for Credentialing and Education, Inc. (CCE), a subsidiary of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).
